Funeral Services for Dennis Lee Legried, 56, of Frost were November 22, 2004, at United Lutheran Church in Frost.
Interment was at Bethany Lutheran Cemetery in rural Frost, with military honors by the Bricelyn American Legion Post.
Dennis died November 19, 2004, at his home in Frost from complications of cancer.
He was born July 4, 1948 in Blue Earth, son of Orville and Mildred (Salley) Legried. He graduated from Frost High School in 1966. He was drafted into the US Army in 1968. He served for two years, including a tour of duty in Viet Nam from 1969 to 1970. Her served as an airplane mechanic and had his pilot's license. Following his honorable discharge in 1970, her returned to the family farm where he farmed until 1995. He held various jobs including working at the Frost Elevator, the Bricelyn Canning Co., and as a John Deere salesman. He was currently employed at Krueger Realty in Fairmont as an apartment maintenance man.
He was united in marriage to Sheila berg on January 23, 1988, at Bethany Lutheran Church of rural Frost. He was an active member of the Frost community; including serving on the Frost City Council, and as a cast member in many Frost Community Dinner Theater productions. He was a member of United Lutheran Church, the VFW Post in Blue Earth and the Bricelyn American Legion Post.
Dennis enjoyed collecting farm toys, furniture restoration, working on his home, and just being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila of Frost; by three daughters, Andrea (Jason) Spencer of Blue Earth, Crystal Legried of Frost, Devin (Jason) Engel of Paynesville and his father Orville Legried of Frost. He is also survived by a sister Joyce (Del) Armon of Lakota and one brother Roger "Buckey" Legried of Frost; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, one niece, Cindy, and one sister-in-law Shirley Legried.
