Ronald F. Willmert
January 29, 1914 - May 20, 2005
 
Ronald F. Willmert was born January 29, 1914, at Frost to Julius and Kristi (Hatlestad) Willmert. He died May 20, 2005, at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth.
 
As a young man, Ronnie joined the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and was stationed in Tofte, Minnesota, on the Sawbill Trail. Throughout his life he worked as a butcher, grocer and house painter. Frost 1945-1952 he and his wife, Gladys, owned and operated Willmert's Cafe in Frost. Ronnie went on to work for the Rural Electric Association (REA) in Frost. In 1963 he attended Jackson Vocational School and then worked as a custodian at the Frost school until his retirement. After retiring he began working at Gartzke's Greenhouse and continued there for 25 years.
 
He was a member of the Frost Fre Departmebnt and Frost City Council and served as President of the United Lutheran Cemetery Association.
 
He is survived by four daughters: Kay (Larry) Lloyd of Frost, Bonnie (Duane) Gartzke of Blue Earth, Joyce (Richard) Fraser of Austin and Lois Willmert of Winnebago; by seven grandchildren, 11 great-granchildren; brothers Vernal (Betty) Willmert of Princeton and Melford (Evelyn) Willmert of Frost; and a special sister, Lorene Campos of Blue Earth.
 
He was preceeded in death by his wife, Gladys in 1999, parents and an infant sister.
