Roger "Red" Olson
November 11, 1934 - January 8, 2007
 
Funeral services for Roger "Red" Olson, 72, of Blue Earth, formerly of Frost, were January 13, 2007,at Trinity Lutheran Church, Blue Earth.  
 
He was born November 11, 1934, on a farm near Frost, the son of Curtis A. and Selma T. (Thompson) Olson. He graduated from Frost High School in 1952. Following high school he began driving a truck for Brekke & Quam. Following service in the U.S. Army, he returned to Frost and began working for Perlon Thompson Road Construction. He later worked for Barton Brothers in Osseo and Blaetner Road Construction in Avon.
 
He was married to Elsie A. Pulver August 25, 1973 at First United Methodist Church in Blue Earth. Following his retirement December 31, 1995, he enjoyed working on his family farm with his brother, Claire, until illness prevented him from doing so.
 
Roger is survived by his wife, Elsie Olson of Blue Earth; his brothers, Claire (Diane) Olson of Frost, and Dennis (Mavis) Olson of Fairmont; sisters, Shirley (Larry) Vetsch of Leesburg, FL., and Bonnie (Larry) Fowler of Dundas; his step-daughters, Bonnie (Bruce) Ankeny of Blue Earth, Connie (Paul) Stevens of Armstrong and Debbie (Craig) Smith of Sioux Center; his step-son, Rick Hsevik of Fairmont, seven ste-granchildren and three step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Dale.
