Alice C. Thompson

Funeral services for Alice C. Thompson, 96, of Frost were August 27, 2007 at United Lutheran Church in Frost. Interment was at United Lutheran Cemetery, Frost.
Alice Thompson was born December 27, 1910 on the family farm in Emerald Township, near Frost. She was the daughter of Randolph C. and Hansina (Johnson) Thompson. When she was six years old her mother died and Alice made her home with her aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. Gullich Frandle. When her father remarried, the family moved to Albert Lea. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1929 and attended Albert Lea Business College.
Her parents returned to the family farm near Frost and Alice began working foe the Faribault County Cooperative Electric Association from 1937 - 1934. She worked at the Faribault County Assessor's Office for a year and then worked at the Blue Earth Farmers Elevator from 1966 - 1984 when she retired.
She was a lifelong member of Emerald and United Lutheran Churches of frost and was active in many church activities. She is survived by a nephew, Don (Ginger) Erickson of Minnetonka, many great-nieces and nephews and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, her step-mother and nieces and nephews.
