Funeral services for Evelyn Gullord, 92, of Frost, were held April 8, 2010, at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Bricelyn. Burial was at the Bricelyn Lutheran Cemetery. Evelyn passed away April 4, 2010.
Evelyn was born July 20, 1917, in Minnesota Lake Township, the daughter of Paul Adolf and Alma (Giese) O'Groske. She married Donald Gullord on January 12, 1938. She was a member of United Lutheran Church in Frost.
Evelyn and Don owned Gullord Saw Mill and she made all the meals for the workers. She worked in Bricelyn at Sterlings Cafe, the Bricelyn Canning factory and Forest City Produce for many years. She also worked at Telex in Blue Eaarth. Sshe enjoyed gardening and quilting. She loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She babysat many children in the Frost area well into her 80's.
Evelyn is survived by her children: Connie DeWall of White Bear Lake, Sharon (Gordon) Ward of Mankato, David (Deb) Gullord of Fairmont, Terri Gullord (Steve Jackson) of Brooklyn Center; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; son, Wayne "Butch" (Helen) Gullord; two brothers, Walter and Art; three sisters, Gladys, Lillian and Loreen; son-in-law, Alan DeWall; and grandson, Eric DeWall.
