A memorial service for Karyl Domaszewski was held January 17, 2012, at United Lutheran Church in Frost with Pastors Arne Halbakken and Patricia HInkie officiating. Karyl died January 11, 2012, at Minneapolis.
Karyl was born November 4, 1944, in Lebanon, PA, the daughter of Robert and Ella Hilligos. She lived in Waterbury, CT; Champmansville, WV; Champaign, IL; Clarksville, TN; Norwich, CT; Melder, LK and Frost. She and Michael Domaszewski had been married 22 years.
Karly was well known for her james, jellies, fudge, and apple butter. She has been featured in articles in Minnesota Monthly as well as in local newspapers. She donated her time and enjoyed helping people. She enjoyed visiting with people and spending time with the Frost "coffee girls." Being an avid Minnesota Viking fan, she was proud to have been able to go to two Viking games.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; two children, Richella Rogers of San Antonio and Brian (Cynthia) Casey, also of San Antonio; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and four sisters and brothers.
