OLE HADLAND

Funeral services for Ole Hadland, 86, of Frost were September 7, 2012, at United Lutheran Church of Frost with Pastor Arne Halbakken officiating. Burial was at the United Lutheran cemetery. Ole died September 3, 2012, at Blue Earth. 
 
Ole Hadland was born December 1, 1925, at Bryne, Norway, the son of Torvald and Nanna (Mellenstrand) Hadland. He was raised in Norway where he was baptized and confirmed at the Time Lutheran Church in Bryne. He was united in marriage to Tordis Rimestad on July 4, 1953, at Time Church. He came directly to Blue Earth, Minnesota in 1955, at the age of 29 and soon moved to Frost, Minnesota, in 1957.
 
Ole worked for the Faribault County Highway Department where he was a traffic sign painter and road stripe painter for many years. He retired in 1984. Ole and Tordis operated the Frost Mission Center for more than 10 years and Ole volunteered many hours and made many donations to mission work. He also sewed many items and sent truck loads of clothes to Nogales, Arizona, and into Mexico. Ole is remembered for distributing his had made crosses. His favorite hobby was going to the mission in Yuma, Arizona, for the winter.
 
Ole died September 3, 2012, at United Hospital in Blue Eareth. He is survived by his wife, Tordin Hadland of Frost, his brothers: Kjell Hadland, Nils Hadland and Geir Hadland, and a sister, Karen Norland, all of Norway. He was preceeded in death by his parents and a brother, Ragnae Hadland.
