Funeral services for Marion H. Twedt, 84, of Frost were held November 16, 2015, at Bethany Lutheran Church, rural Frost, with Rev. Arne Halbakken officiating. Burial was in the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery. He died November 11, 2015, at United Hospital in Blue Earth.
Marion was born June 6, 1931, at Walters, the son of Emil and Mildred (Husby) Twedt. He lived in rural Frost, where he attended country school until the eighth grade. He married Janet Lee Ozmun in Kiester on April 13, 1952.
Marion joined the U.S. Army on February 3, 1954 and was discharged February 2, 1956. After his service  he returned to the Frost area and began farming. In 1965, he began selling Pioneer Seed and did so for more than 33 years He retired from the seed business, but his love for farming continued. He loved the land and was an avid hunter and fisherman. In recent years, Marion and Janet enjoyed their time in their motorhome, wintering in Texas. They loved spending summers with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Twedt of Blue Earth; daughters, Mary (Duane) Evans of Blue Earth, Sarah (Steve) Wilson of Lakeville; sons, Larry (Barb) Twedt of Frost, Gary Twedt of Winnebago; eight grandchildren. and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by infant son, Paul Twedt, parents, brother, Erling Twedt, and sisters, Edna Anderson and Maxine Olson.
